Roofworks

This phase, as the name suggests, is all about repairing and improving the building's roof and loft areas.
This milestone includes
Roof Asbestos Survey
Start June 2025Expected to end June 2025
Weather permitting and if required we will remove and replace any asbestos tiles. this is a careful steady process and takes time and we can only remove areas we can safely recover with a temporary, weatherproof seal. Working in sections we will safely remove any asbestos before installing new non-toxic tiles. The same process applies to damaged or missing tiles, but this is generally a faster process.
Updated inspections

Inspections play an important role in the overall building process and at this stage we'll take care to revisit the roof and external fabric of the building to ensure we have successfully removed any and all asbestos and replaced any damaged or missing tiles.
Repointing the chimneys
Start August 2025Expected to end August 2025
Using the existing scaffolds and, expanding them as required, our roofers will now take take to repoint the building's chimneys and make any other needed improvements.
Replacing the Roof
Start September 2025Expected to end October 2025
The old roof is carefully removed, and a durable new roof is installed, combining new tiles with well-preserved originals, to protect the building from the elements for many years to come.
Lightning protection

Nature can be tough on buildings and while relatively rare lightning strikes are bad news for buildings in general. Therefore, as the final part of the roofing process we will fit new lightning bands to ensure any strikes are safely and quickly earthed.
Install leadwork to roof
Start August 2025Expected to end November 2025
The roof’s parapets and copings are given a new lead covering, ensuring they’re well-protected from the elements and keeping the building watertight for years to come.
