About Sutton Chelsea

Blocks E-O are being fully refurbished with residents in-situ (as opposed to a full strip-out and remodelling for blocks A-D). This work is being carried out by Wates. Landscaping works across the estate will be carried out once the refurbishment works are completed.
Heritage and stewardship
The public realm will be reshaped, to create a new green space at the heart of the estate. We are introducing informal play provision and new planting specifically designed to encourage residents to play a stewardship role (with horticultural apprenticeships created to help with that).
The objective is to retain as much of the heritage and quality as possible whilst giving these wonderful homes another century of useful life. The first new homes will be ready in summer 2024 whilst the refurbishment of the existing properties will continue until later that year.
